Arrivato in città con la sua chitarra, il mariachi (cantastorie ambulante di origine messicana) si trova nel bel mezzo della guerra fra le bande di Moco, padrone di tutti i bar e di tutti i clienti, e di Azul (che tiene le armi in una custodia per chitarra). Per ulteriore complicazione, il giovane si innamora di Domino, la donna di Moco. Risultato: una strage, cui sopravvive solo il protagonista.
